Meet Andromeda, the stage persona of Chicago-born performer CJ Puga, a lifelong artist who’s been performing since the age of five, when he first stepped into the spotlight as Bagheera in The Jungle Book.
CJ grew up surrounded by music, movement, and a love for storytelling that eventually led him to train extensively in musical theatre with Broadway legends like Natalie Weiss.
After winning Best Vocalist in a National competition and earning a spot in a top theatre program, he made a choice that set everything in motion: he turned down college to follow his own creative path and build a life as a drag artist.
That path became Andromeda, a name that blends timeless glamour with fearless individuality. Her inspiration runs deep: the sensual pulse of 70s disco, the power and polish of 80s icons, and an ongoing devotion to the divine feminine.
